Last updated: 19 August 2026A 2-day Vrindavan tour package from Delhi starts from ₹4,999 per person and covers the 180 km journey via the Yamuna Expressway followed by a full Vrindavan temple circuit including Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir, ISKCON Krishna Balram Mandir, Radha Raman Temple, Nidhivan, Keshi Ghat and Seva Kunj across two days with one night stay. The drive from Delhi to Vrindavan takes three to three and a half hours depending on traffic at the Noida toll plaza, and darshan timings shift between summer and winter schedules so the temple sequence is adjusted by month. Weekday departures are advisable as Banke Bihari Temple queues on Saturdays and Sundays can exceed an hour by mid-morning.
The 2 Days Vrindavan Tour Package from Delhi starts at ₹4,999 per person on a two-sharing basis, covering the Delhi-Vrindavan-Delhi round trip via Yamuna Expressway, full Vrindavan temple darshan across two days and one night hotel accommodation. The per-person rate falls as the group size increases because the vehicle hire, expressway tolls, fuel, driver charges and guide fee are divided across more travellers while the route and temple sequence remain identical. Every cost is confirmed to you in writing before any payment is made — no hidden charges, no commission stops at shops and no extras added at the end of the trip.
| Group Size | Vehicle | Cost Per Person | What Changes |

| 4 travellers | SUV (Ertiga / Innova) | ₹4,299 | About 14% less per person |
| 6–8 travellers | Innova Crysta | ₹3,899 | About 22% less per person |
| 10+ travellers | Tempo Traveller | ₹3,499 | About 30% less per person |

Final Arrival
Vrindavan
Vrindavan is 180 km from Delhi, and most same-day packages treat the drive as a minor detail. It is not. Three and a half hours on the Yamuna Expressway followed by six hours of temple darshan followed by another three and a half hours back is not a pilgrimage — it is an endurance test. By the time you reach Prem Mandir in the evening your feet have given up and your mind stopped registering somewhere around the third temple. Two days changes everything.
This 2-day Vrindavan tour package from Delhi is built around the simple fact that Vrindavan darshan rewards patience, not speed. Day one covers the drive from Delhi and the temples that are best visited in the afternoon and evening — ISKCON Krishna Balram Mandir, Nidhivan before dusk, and Prem Mandir after dark when the marble lights up and the musical fountain begins. Day two starts early at Banke Bihari Temple when the curtain darshan is still unhurried, then moves through Radha Raman Temple, Seva Kunj, Keshi Ghat, Rangaji Temple and Shahji Temple at a pace that lets each place register before you walk into the next one.
The package starts from ₹4,999 per person with a private AC cab from Delhi, certified local Braj guide, one night hotel accommodation in Vrindavan, breakfast on Day 2 and full pickup-drop from anywhere in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram. No hidden charges, no advance payment to enquire.
This 2-day Vrindavan package from Delhi works for devotees who do not want to waste half their energy on the expressway and arrive at temples already tired, families with elderly members or children who need an overnight rest between travel and darshan, and first-time visitors to Braj who want every important Vrindavan temple covered without the confusion of navigating 5,000 temples in lanes where Google Maps stops being useful. The overnight stay means you get the early morning Banke Bihari darshan that same-day trippers from Delhi always miss — and that early morning slot is worth the hotel cost on its own.
Details are subject to availability & seasonal adjustments
Early morning Banke Bihari darshan before the queues build when the curtain lifts for an unhurried glimpse of Bihariji
Prem Mandir after sunset when the white marble panels light up in rotating colours and the musical fountain begins
The 180 km Yamuna Expressway drive from Delhi cutting through flat farmland before the temple spires of Vrindavan appear
Nidhivan's sacred grove visited before dusk with the local account of why no living being stays inside after dark
Standing at Keshi Ghat on the Yamuna where Krishna defeated the horse demon Keshi in late afternoon light
Radha Raman Temple's self-manifested deity and 500 years of unbroken Gaudiya Vaishnava rituals in a quiet lane
Rangaji Temple's towering Dravidian gopuram rising over Vrindavan like a piece of South India transplanted into Braj
Early Morning (5:00 – 5:30 AM): Pickup from your hotel, residence or metro station in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram. An early departure is essential — the Yamuna Expressway is clearest before 6:00 AM and the Noida toll plaza queue adds 15 to 30 minutes after that. The drive to Vrindavan is approximately 180 km and takes three to three and a half hours with one chai and washroom stop at an expressway rest area around Kilometre 100.
Morning (8:30 – 9:00 AM): Arrive in Vrindavan. Check in at your hotel, freshen up and have a light breakfast if not already eaten on the road. A 30 to 45 minute rest here is built into the schedule — you have just driven three hours and the afternoon ahead covers serious ground on foot.
Late Morning (10:00 – 10:45 AM): Rangaji Temple, one of the largest temples in Vrindavan. Built in the Dravidian style with a towering gopuram and gold-plated dhwaja stambh, it looks more like a South Indian temple than anything else in Braj. The temple covers a large area and receives fewer visitors than Banke Bihari — a calm and spacious start to your Vrindavan darshan.
Morning (11:00 – 11:30 AM): Shahji Temple, about five minutes by vehicle from Rangaji Temple. Built in 1876, this marble temple is known for its 15-foot-high Basanti Kamra hall with Belgian glass chandeliers and carved lattice work. It is one of the lesser-visited temples in Vrindavan and offers a quiet unhurried darshan.
Lunch Break (11:45 AM – 12:45 PM): Lunch at a local restaurant near the temple area. All of Vrindavan is strictly vegetarian — no meat, fish or eggs are served anywhere in the town. Rest properly here because the afternoon session runs until after dark.
Afternoon (1:00 – 2:00 PM): ISKCON Krishna Balram Mandir. The temple complex is well-organised with wide corridors, clean premises and a structured darshan queue — a less physically demanding stop than the older Vrindavan temples. The main deities are Krishna and Balram with Radha Shyamasundar and Gaura Nitai on either side. Allow 45 minutes to an hour.
Afternoon (2:15 – 2:45 PM): Seva Kunj, about ten minutes from ISKCON. This walled garden is believed to be where Radha and Krishna performed the Raas Leela. The small Rang Mahal inside shows paintings of Krishna adorning Radha. Like Nidhivan it closes before dusk — visiting in the early afternoon ensures entry without pressure.
Afternoon (3:00 – 3:45 PM): Nidhivan. This sacred grove closes before dusk without exception. The small samadhi of Swami Haridas is inside, and the local account of why no living being — human, bird or animal — remains inside after dark is best heard standing at the gate from your guide. Allow 30 to 40 minutes.
Late Afternoon (4:00 – 4:30 PM): Keshi Ghat on the Yamuna, named after the horse demon Keshi whom Krishna defeated at this spot. The stone steps lead down to the river and the late afternoon light on the water is one of the quieter moments in a Vrindavan day. A short stop of 20 to 30 minutes.
Evening (5:00 – 7:00 PM): Prem Mandir. Arrive before sunset to see the white marble carvings in natural daylight — the panels depict scenes from Krishna's life including the Govardhan leela and the Raas Leela in extraordinary carved detail. As the sun sets the entire temple lights up in a rotating sequence of colours and the musical fountain at the front begins its cycle. This is the most relaxed stop of the day — the grounds are spacious, there is room to sit, and the atmosphere after dark is the finest way to close a Vrindavan evening. Allow at least 90 minutes.
Evening (7:15 PM onwards): Return to hotel for dinner and rest. Most Vrindavan hotels near the temple area are within 10 to 15 minutes of Prem Mandir. Rest well — Day 2 starts early with Banke Bihari Temple.
Early Morning (5:30 – 6:00 AM): Wake up early and have breakfast at the hotel. Today's first stop is Banke Bihari Temple and the timing is not flexible — the queue builds rapidly after 9:00 AM and the difference between arriving at 6:30 AM and arriving at 10:00 AM is the difference between 20 minutes of darshan and over an hour of waiting.
Morning (6:30 – 8:00 AM): Banke Bihari Temple. This is the heart of Vrindavan darshan and the reason this stop is saved for the early morning of Day 2 rather than squeezed into Day 1 after a three-hour drive. The curtain-style darshan is unique to this temple — the purdah opens and closes every few seconds for a brief intense glimpse of Bihariji. Mobiles and cameras are strictly prohibited inside. Leave all belongings in the vehicle. Expect 20 to 40 minutes in the queue at this hour, rising to well over an hour by mid-morning on weekends and festival days.
Morning (8:15 – 9:00 AM): Radha Raman Temple, a short walk from Banke Bihari through the narrow Vrindavan lanes. The deity is believed to be self-manifested from a Shaligram shila and the temple dates back to the 16th century. The atmosphere is noticeably quieter and more contemplative than Banke Bihari — the darshan is unhurried and the priests maintain traditional Gaudiya Vaishnava rituals that have continued unbroken for over 500 years. Allow 30 to 40 minutes.
Morning (9:15 – 9:45 AM): Radha Damodar Temple, a five-minute walk from Radha Raman Temple. This temple holds the personal Govardhana Shila of Sanatana Goswami and the samadhi of Rupa Goswami and Jiva Goswami — key figures in Gaudiya Vaishnavism. The courtyard is small and intimate, and the darshan is typically uncrowded.
Mid-Morning (10:00 – 10:30 AM): Kaliya Ghat, about ten minutes by vehicle. This ghat on the Yamuna marks the spot where Krishna danced on the hoods of the serpent Kaliya — one of the most celebrated leelas in the Bhagavata Purana. A short visit of 20 to 30 minutes to walk the steps and hear the story at the actual location.
Late Morning (10:45 – 11:15 AM): Madan Mohan Temple, one of the oldest temples in Vrindavan, situated on a hillock near the Yamuna. The original red sandstone structure dates to the 16th century and the view from the top across the river and the town is one of the best in Vrindavan. The climb is short but steep — five minutes up stone steps.
Late Morning (11:30 AM – 12:00 PM): Final visit to Pagal Baba Temple, about ten minutes by vehicle. This multi-storeyed temple houses replicas of famous temples from across India — Badrinath, Jagannath Puri, Ayodhya and others — under one roof. It is architecturally unusual and worth a quick 20 to 30 minute visit.
Lunch (12:15 – 1:00 PM): Lunch at a local restaurant in Vrindavan. Hotel check-out should be completed before lunch if not done in the morning.
Afternoon (1:15 PM): Depart Vrindavan for Delhi via the Yamuna Expressway. The drive from Vrindavan to the expressway entry at Mathura takes about 30 minutes, and the expressway itself is 180 km to Delhi — total drive time three to three and a half hours. Afternoon traffic is generally lighter than morning, but the Greater Noida interchange can add 20 to 30 minutes during evening rush if departure is delayed past 2:00 PM.
Evening (4:30 – 5:30 PM): Drop at your hotel, residence, metro station or airport in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram. If you are extending the trip to Mathura, Govardhan or Barsana instead of returning to Delhi, the drive from Vrindavan to Mathura is 15 km and to Govardhan about 30 km — both under 45 minutes.

Explore Mathura & Vrindavan with your group.
Most people choose a pilgrimage by how they are travelling, not by how many days it runs. Here is what Rajkumar would put you on depending on who is coming with you and how much time you have — the same advice you would get over the phone.
If…
A single day is enough for Mathura's main temples and an evening at the ghats, provided the route is tight and someone else is driving.
If…
Two days lets you give Mathura and Vrindavan a day each rather than half a day each. This is what most first-time visitors should book.
If…
A longer itinerary with a hotel means real rest between temples, e-rickshaw support at Govardhan, and no day that runs from dawn to midnight.
If…
Govardhan, Barsana, Nandgaon and Gokul need their own days. This is the itinerary for pilgrims who have travelled a long way and want the whole story.

After more than twenty years and 3,000+ guests, these are the things I tell almost everyone before we set out. None of them cost anything, and every one of them changes how the day feels.— Rajkumar Chaudhary, Founder & Lead Braj Travel Expert
Almost every visitor arrives at Banke Bihari mid-morning and waits. The temple opens at 7:45 AM in summer and 8:45 AM in winter, and the first hour is calm enough to actually stand before Bihariji rather than being carried past. If you do one thing differently, make it this.
People arrive with a list of fifteen temples and leave having felt none of them. Mathura and Vrindavan alone deserve a full day each. I would rather take you to six places properly than fifteen at a run — and in twenty years nobody has told me they wished we had rushed more.
The Yamuna aarti at Vishram Ghat is the quietest, most affecting part of most itineraries and the one guests remember months later. Do not schedule a departure that forces you to leave before it. Arrive twenty minutes early and sit on the upper steps.
The full parikrama is 21 km and five to six hours barefoot. Devotees who walk it have my complete respect, but if walking it means you skip Radha Kund and Mansi Ganga entirely, take the e-rickshaw and stop properly at each. The merit is in the intention and the visit, not the blisters.
Phones are not permitted inside the main sanctums at Banke Bihari or Krishna Janmabhoomi, and at other temples a quiet word first is always better than a raised camera. Leave the phone in the vehicle at Janmabhoomi — the cloakroom queue on a busy day is longer than the darshan queue.
Keep ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 in small notes for offerings, e-rickshaws and the temple counters that still do not take UPI. And ask me where to eat rather than choosing by signboard — the best kachori and lassi in Mathura are not where the tour buses stop.
Mathura to Vrindavan is only 15 km, about 30 minutes. Govardhan is 45 minutes, Barsana 50, Gokul an hour. What eats your day is not the driving but the walking from the barricades and the parking — which is exactly why the order we visit things in matters more than the map suggests.
The 10 km Vrindavan Parikrama takes about three hours at a steady pace, and most pilgrims walk it barefoot. Start by 5 AM and you will finish before the heat and the traffic. If you only have one morning, do the parikrama and skip a temple — the walk itself is the darshan.
The monkeys around Banke Bihari, Radha Raman and the Vrindavan lanes will take spectacles, phones and prasad straight from your hand, and they are quick. Keep glasses in a pocket rather than on your head, hold bags in front of you, and never try to snatch anything back — hand over a packet of biscuits and it will be dropped. Do not feed them for fun.
Have the kachori-jalebi breakfast at Mathura's old bazaar, a lassi in a clay kulhad, and the peda that Mathura is actually famous for — buy it from a shop with a queue of locals, not a counter near a temple gate. Stick to sealed bottled water, and go easy on street food the morning of a long walking day.

Rajkumar Chaudhary was born and raised in Vrindavan and has worked in tourism across Braj since 2002, making him one of the longest-serving travel experts in the region. Over more than two decades he has personally conducted and guided more than 3,000 guests through Mathura, Vrindavan, Govardhan, Barsana, Nandgaon and Gokul — from single-day darshan visits to full Braj Mandal pilgrimages and the major festival seasons.
Why local matters
Growing up in Vrindavan is the difference you feel on the day. Rajkumar knows the priests at the temples personally, which is what turns a two-hour queue into a quiet darshan and lets a family sit for a few minutes rather than being moved along. He knows the back lanes that stay open when the main roads close for Janmashtami and Holi, and which of the Janmabhoomi gates is actually moving on a given festival night. He knows that Banke Bihari shifts its timings between summer and winter, that Nidhivan closes before dusk for a reason, and which ghat steps turn slippery after the evening aarti. And he carries the stories — why Krishna rested at Vishram Ghat, what happened at Seva Kunj, why Govardhan is walked around and never climbed — the details that turn a list of temples into a pilgrimage you remember.
